WaKali Kwanza suspects surrenders to police

Six youths linked to the deadly Wakali Kwanza criminal gang have surrendered to police.

The six who have denied being part of the group, said they surrendered after their photos were shared on social media as part of the group.

Kisauni Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD) Julius Kiragu who confirmed the incident said that the six reported to Kadzandani, Kiembeni and Urban Police stations.

“They are now being grilled by our Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) officers,” said Kiragu.

Two of the suspects surrender to Kiembeni Police Station, two at Kadzandani Police Post and two at Urban Police Station.

Wakali Kwanza has been terrorizing area residents, with major attack being on Monday in Bamburi that left about 14 people injured.
