Waititu takes a jab at Mike Sonko
Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has laughed off at Mike Sonko’s accusation that the two used to smoke marijuana at parliament washrooms.
Last year Sonko made an allegation while on National TV that he used to smoke bhang together with Waititu during their tenure as members of the National Assembly.

Speaking during an interview on NTV Waititu refuted the claims, saying he has never smoked any type of cigarette. He said that being sober throughout has helped God to continue blessing him.
“I have never abused any drugs, am always sober that’s why God continues to bless me.” Said Waititu.
The former Kiambu County boss maintained that he has a good relationship with Mike Sonko despite the allegations leveled against him. He told his host Salim Swaleh that he doesn’t hold grudges because we are all uncertain about our future.
Waititu further noted that Sonko is a man capable of saying anything, and he was not surprised by the allegations. “When you look at Sonko, and the way he talks, he can accuse you of anything,” he said.
Sonko and Waititu were both Members of Parliament, before being elected as the Governors of Nairobi and Kiambu counties respectively. The two were later impeached for corruption allegations.
