Vihiga County spends Ksh 135M on Governor and Deputy’s houses
Vihiga county government has give the thumbs up on construction of Governor’s house worth Ksh 80 million and Deputy Governor’s worth Ksh 55 million.
It is believed that the county government is planning to construct the county assembly speaker’s house also once these two are done.
The governor’s house will be constructed on a two-acre land in Sabatia valued at Ksh 23 million while the Deputy’s will be in Chavakali.
The governor is looking at the completion of the house before June 30th.
Currently, the governor resides at Sosa Cottages that was rented out for him at a cost of Ksh 1 million per month, a bill footed by the taxpayers.
