Sports journalist who died in Dusit D2 attack was nominated for AIPS Sport Media Awards

The late James Oduor alias Cobra the founder of Wadau TV is among top 10 finalists in the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) awards.

Cobra who until his death was a strong local football fan,player and also a journalist has two of his online Wadau TV documentaries nominated for global awards.

The pieces includes “We Must Relive History” that featured Gor Mahia Fans during the CAF matches and “Oti Father’s Favorite Phrase” that featured football legend Oti.

Cobra who was also an employee of LG Electronics was shot dead by Alshabab militia who attacked DusitD2 in Riverside on Tuesday last week where Cobra was having a meeting.

The Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet confirmed that the attackers killed 21 people and left several others injured.
