Somali Ambassador, First Lady and Foreign Minister arrive back in Mogadishu
Mohamoud Ahmed Nur, Somali ambassador to Kenya, has arrived at Mogadishu. Together with him was the country’s first lady, Zeynab Moalim, and Foreign Minister, Ahmed Issa Awad.
Mr. Nur had yesterday been expelled from Kenya following the dispute between Kenya and Somali regarding the oil blocs that belong to Kenya that have been sold by Somali.
Somalia’s First Lady Zeynab Moalim, who was on a visit to Kenya also accompanied their ambassador. Their Foreign Minister, Ahmed Issa Awad, who was on transit from Sweden was also not left behind.
It is reported that top Somali officials including their President and Prime Minister were on a meeting to discuss on this diplomatic stiff with Kenya.
Mogadishu is expected to issue a statement later this afternoon on the same.
