Samburu governor acquired hundred of millions of properties in just 4 years
Three day’s ago, the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) raided the homes of Samburu Governor and other top Chief officers in an effort to acquire a few files that were to account on county government expenditures.
The EACC has now listed a number of properties, valued at hundreds of millions, that are believed to have been fraudulently acquired by the governor, Moses Lenolkulal, in 4 years.
EACC wants these properties frozen. Top of the list is his Karen home that is valued at Kes 300 million. His home at Maralal town valued at Kes 100 million.

Commercial residential apartment in Maralal town valued at Kes 20 million. Red Rock Resort in Maralal town, has 20 cottages and valued at Kes 70 million. Oryx filling station valued at Kes 90 million.
Properties also owned by other County Chiefs have been listed. EACC has stated that the county officials registered companies and awarded themselves contracts worth Kes 700 million that they got paid for without delivering anything.
