Safaricom Android TV Box now in the market
Kenya tech giant Safaricom, has announced the launch of Android TV Box for internet streaming.
The device will enable Safaricom Home Fibre customers, to stream their favorite TV channels and other internet programs on their TV set.

The TV Box equips any TV with the capability to stream content from YouTube, Netflix, ShowMax, Hulu, Sling and other Android TV Applications.
Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa, said the box comes with a number of features that were unavailable in the past. The box now enables customers to wirelessly project their smartphone and laptop screens to the TV through screencasting.
“The Android TV Box now empowers customers to connect any TV to the internet opening up a world of endless entertainment options for the family,” added Ndwiga.
The Android TV Box is available at Safaricom Shops and online on Masoko for Sh6,999.
Safaricom to offer free bundles to customers
Safaricom acting CEO Michael Joseph, in a statement said that the company will be empowering any Kenyan who wish to watch Ineos challenge through a free YouTube streaming.

As part of our support, we will be empowering any Kenyan across the country to stream the challenge for free, wherever they are, with the advantage of our strong network and wide coverage. For every Kenyan, Kipchoge is a reflection of our resilience and determination as he has taken on challenge after challenge,” said Michael Joseph.
Michael Joseph also confirmed that the mobile operator giant will be using Eliud Kipchoge on their Mpesa logo for the next one week.

It is a privilege to partner with him on this historic occasion and as an icon, it is only befitting to offer our M-PESA brand in his recognition,” added Michael.
The bundle will be accessed by dialing *159# upon which customers will receive a free YouTube bundles.
