Ruto allies want CSs in assassination probe suspended
Deputy President William Ruto allies, now wants Cabinet Secretaries mentioned in his alleged assassination plans be suspended.
Nandi Governor Steven Sang, while addressing members of the press on Friday challenged President Kenyatta to interdict the Cabinet Secretary mentioned if they will not step down.
“He (the President) should by now have asked the ministers involved to step aside or suspend them and if we do not see serious action and commitment to thoroughly investigate this matter from the highest level in this office then it means we are taking this matter casually” Sang said.
Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa, a vocal member of team Tanga Tanga urged President Kenyatta to dissolve the Cabinet so as to give room for those who want to engage in criminal activities.
“The President should just dissolve his Cabinet and reconstitute it. Those who want to engage in criminal activities will have a leeway on whether they want to join Mungiki or Sungu Sungu, then the government can deal with them at that level as criminals.
On Monday Cabinet Secretaries Sicily Kariuki, Joe Mucheru and Peter Munya presented themselves at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters.
