Ole Sapit changes tune on politicians donations to churches

Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit, has changed his tune on politician donations towards church project.

Ole Sapit who had earlier on barred politicians from donating money in Anglican churches now says the church is not opposed to donations.

The head of Anglican churches now insists that politicians should watch their tongues when they take the pulpit.

“Hatujasema tumekata pesa ya mtu yeyote lakini tunasema tutoe kwa njia ambayo ni staarabu, kwa njia ambayo itaheshimu mwenyezi Mungu. Isiwe ni nafasi amabyo tunatumia kana kwamba tunajipigia debe ama kutangaza mambo mengine ambayo si ya kikristo,” said Sapit.

This comes days after former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale told Ole Sapit to return Ksh 8,million which Khalwale alleges he received from politicians

.A camp linked to Deputy President William Ruto has been criticized in the recent past of donating huge amount of money in churches.
