ODM wades into Senator Malala’s ANC case
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has given a barking to embattled Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, by promising to give him a direct nomination ticket in the event that he is kicked out of his part, Amani National Congress (ANC) and elections are called for.
ANC suspended him on Friday for having supported ODM candidate in the just concluded Kibra constituency by-election, yet ANC had also fielded a candidate.
Speaking at Cheptulu Salvation Army in Vihiga County, ODM Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna, stated that ODM had already prepared a direct ticket to hand to Mr. Malala in the eventuality that he is expelled from ANC.
“Malala supported us in Kibra, ODM party will stand with him. ANC is pained after losing the by-election,” said Mr Sifuna.
Mr. Malala said that he is not afraid of a by-election and he urged Mr. Sifuna to get him the ODM ticket.
