ODM breaks silence on Governor Nanok supporting DP Ruto
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has broken its silence on the Turkana governor Josphat Nanok support of Deputy President (DP) William Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid.
The Opposition party say that they expected that move by their Governor but to them it still remains inconsequential.
The party chairman, MP John Mbadi, said that it was just a matter of time before the governor moved to DP William Ruto’s side.
“It is nothing new. Some of the leaders serving their second and final term are looking for future political survival. Others want to be remembered through appointments in government,” the Suba South MP told the Daily Nation.
Governor Nanok on Monday declared his support for DP Ruto’s presidential bid.

“As 14 governors from Rift Valley, we are working on a plan to fully support the deputy president and form the next government. The whole country is focusing on Rift Valley to produce the next president,” he said.
This was at a function in Turkana county where the Deputy President was in a three day tour to launch a number of government projects.
