No Kenyan has died of starvation – DP Ruto
Deputy President William Ruto has disputed claims on Kenyans who died in Baringo and Turkana County over starvation.

DP Ruto who was speaking during an update on drought in the country, he said deaths reported in the area were not related to starvation.
“There should be no cause for alarm. The National and County governments have put into place measures to ensure there are no casualties as a result of this drought,” he stated.
He also noted that national government has set aside Ksh 2 billion that will be released to help the affected areas.
Ruto said that at least 865,000 people require urgent relief, something that the government is keen to help them.
