Moi University Closed indefinitely

Moi University was on Friday morning closed indefinitely following student unrest witnessed in the institution.

Through a memo seen by Wadau, the University Senate came to a decision of closing the institution over gross misconduct of students and also destruction of property.

“Following the student’s unrest in the University’s, Main Campus, leading to gross misconduct, destruction of property, harassment and injury of University officers…the University Senate has decided to indefinitely suspend academic programmes at Main Campus with immediate effect.” read the memo in part.

Students engaged police officers from Eldoret town in running battles on the school grounds as the law enforcers tried to disperse the irate students.
