Mohamed Ali cause panic after storming parliament with gun

Drama was witnessed in Parliament on Thursday night after Nyali Legislator Mohamed Alis stormed parliament chambers armed with a gun causing fear among colleagues.

According to Parliament rules members are expected to deposit their guns at a safety deposit box manned by the sergeant at arms. However, it’s not clear how the security agents at Parliament didn’t notice Jicho Pevu’s gun.

Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo, notified the speaker that the first time legislator was carrying something akin to a gun contra to parliament rules.

“Mr. Speaker, I have noticed that Hon Mohamed Ali is carrying something behind his back resembling a gun. If that is true, then we are not safe,” Odhiambo said.

Mohamed Ali apologized for the unfortunate incident, saying man is to error that he forgot to surrender his gun at the destinated area.

“My apologies, I forgot to leave my things outside. I am a human being. Mr. Speaker. Allow me to surrender,” the MP said.
