Millions in Presidential kitty shocks MPs

Public Accounts Committee (PAC) was in shock to learn of Ksh. 400 million that was being ‘secretly’ operated in the Presidential kitty.

The Labour Principal Secretary Nelson Marwa was tasked to come clean on the use of the funds and its accountability.

The kitty is said to be purposed in helping in bursary funds for 45 students in each constituency, with giving Ksh 30,000 per student.

The MPs alleged that the funds have been used to benefit students from specific ethnic background.

The committee gave the ministry a week to present documentation on the disbursement of the funds
