Millie Odhiambo: Most online dating ends in tears
Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo Mabona has left Kenyans stunned after giving her opinion about online dating.
Speaking during an interview on NTV, the vocal legislator said that most relationship that emanates from online platforms don’t end up well. She stated that most people online are psychos that’s why such relationships are likely to hit a dead end.
“A lot of people who meet online, many of them don’t turn out well. Enough of the people you meet online are psychos.” She said.
The controversial legislator disputed claims that she met her husband online, saying that the media misquoted her. She said she met her husband physically and what attracted her to him is that the husband was carrying a bible. She stated that they have been dating online because her hubby lives in another country.
“I met my husband live and what attracted me to him is that he was carrying a bible.” She added.
She added young men to take advantage of social media platforms to engage lawmakers and other leaders rather than advancing their sexual agenda. She gave an example of a young man who approached her through social media to help him implement an idea he had in mind.
The ODM legislator disclosed that the young man doesn’t come from her constituency but she facilitated an appointment and the young man will be implementing the project in Suba North Constituency.
She said she won’t hesitate to block people who slide into her DM without agenda. The firebrand lawmaker is known for not tolerating young men shooting their shot on her.
