Mike Sonko to divert KSH 96 million confidential budget to health department
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has revealed that Ksh.96million ‘confidential budget’ allocated ti his office will be diverted to health department.
In a statement to newsrooms the Governor said that the funds will help to upgrade the state of healthy facilities in the county.
Sonko also noted that Ksh.96M ‘confidential’ budget that was set a side for his office will now be used to improve health facilities in the city.

“I want to say that although the Ksh.96million “confidential budget” had been allocated for operational expenses in my office, I won’t utilise the funds. I now want the funds to be used to upgrade our health facilities across Nairobi,” he said.
Earlier on Sonko had defended the move to allocate his office huge amount of money saying the amount was meant for office expenses.
