Malindi Teachers arrested for selling government books
Two teachers in Malindi, Kilifi county have been arrested for stealing and selling government books to private schools.
The two were arrested together with Phillip Kimaru The director of
Mary Junior School in Malindi after intelligence report that government books were being used in Private schools in Malindi.
Gichangi Njeru the anti-corruption commission North Coast manager, who spoke to Citizen stated that they have been investigating the matter for two months now.

“We received information two months ago that school learning materials meant for public schools were being used in several private schools within Malindi.” He added.
The books that were recovered were neatly covered to conceal the arms of government. Mr. Njeru said that other books the rubber stamped of the original school had been erased.
