London Marathon winner Wilson Kipsang suspended
Kenyan athlete and the two-times London Marathon winner Wilson Kipsang was on Friday provisionally suspended by Athletics Integrity Unit.
Kipsang is accused for whereabouts failure as in article 2.4 of the World Anti-Doping (WADA) code.
The AIU Code state that athletes have to inform testing authorities of their whereabouts for a one-hour window every day and three failures – not being present at the said time within 12 months – lead to an automatic ban.
Kipsang made his motherland proud winning the London Berlin, New York and Tokyo marathon.
He got into the book of records after beating the world record holder Eliud Kipchoge with over 26.2 miles.
