Jubilee MP on police radar for threatening opponent with gun during a church service
Nakuru town West legislator Samwel Arama is under police investigations for allegedly threatening his opponent Hezron Okiki with a gun.
The Lawmaker is accused of threatening Mr. Okiki on Saturday during a fundraiser at Angaza Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church in Nakuru.
The police officer present at the event moved in swiftly to cool the matter between the two political rivals.
However Mr. Arama refuted the claims, saying he only saved Mr, Okiki from the crowd that was assaulting him. Arama alleged that his opponent attacked him when he was given opportunity to give his donation.
Okiki commenting on the incident claimed that he was beaten up by Arama and his supporters before the police rescued him. “At the church, Arama drew his gun threatening to shot me (Okoiki)” he added.
