Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Friday honored his pledge to support Levis Otieno, who reported to Kanga High with only two bars of soap.
Joho through his confidant musician Susumila delivered the money to Jalang’o during a breakfast show at Milele FM.
” Mimi bana nimetumwa na Mzee Governor wa Mombasa nilete mzigo wake Elvis,” said Susumila.
Jalang’o who volunteered to help the boy thanked Governor Joho for the support and promised to clear the outstanding balance by Monday next week.

Levis story touched many Kenyans after his story was aired on NTV after appealing to well wishers to help him raise tjhe fee.
“I am appealing to any well-wisher to assist me in paying my school fee. I am worried that I do not have any option as my parents have no income,” Levis told NTV reporters.

Jalang’o through his social media pages, announced that he was willing to help the boy join secondary school and complete his education.
“We will do a complete Form One shopping and pay his school from Form One to Form Four,” he wrote.
