High Court prohibit DCI and DPP from investigating former safari rally driver

The High Court has issued orders prohibiting DCI and DPP from investigating former Safari Rally driver James Kahumbura.

Justice John Mativo on his rulling, quashed the criminal charges and issued orders that stopped the investigative agency from probing the former sportsman.

Mr. Kahumba was charged last year in a case against a tenant he evicted from his premises in Kawangware.

In a case that started from e the Business Premises Rent Tribunal Mr Muriuki accused Kahumba of damaging his property during the eviction.

Mr Muruiki the complainant alleged that Kahumbura, Shariff Obadiah Musumba, Jotham Okwayo Osochi, William Kilemia and Kedias Kezza Nduma broke into his bar before stealing his property.

The complainant also alleged property worthy of millions were destroyed during the operation.
