HELB to publish names and photos of loan defaulters – Netizens react

Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has stated that it will publish names and photos of 85,000 Kenyans who have failed to repay back the Kes 50 billion of loans remitted since 1975.

Those in question have been given a 30-day notice to clear their loans.

This news has not gone down well with netizens who have come out arms-blazing to remind HELB that already their are no employments in the country hence they should not expect the money to be repaid as soon as they want.

One even asked for the Kenyatta Trust to clear the entire loan for Kenyans

Another stated that there is no logic in expecting one to clear the loans in the next 30-days when they haven’t been able to do so in years

Some even reminded HELB that they are ready to send them their latest pictures to use in the post that will be published.
