Governor Okoth Obado’s ally arrested with fake number plate
Jared Kwaga, one of the suspects in the Ksh 2 billion scandal in Migori County and a key ally to the county Governor Okoth Obado, has been arrested.
Jared was apprehended as the vehicle he was driving beared the wrong number plate.

The Toyota V8 he was driving had the number plate – KCF 346 Y – however Mr Katumo, who is the Divisional Criminal Investigation Officer (DCIO), stated that it is not the original number plate for that vehicle.
Mr. Katumo stated that investigations are being done to establish why he is using a vehicle with the wrong number plate. Jared Kwaga is expected to be arraigned in court on Monday.
Earlier, Mr Kwaga had been appointed to the council of Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) but that was later rejected by CS Joe Mucheru after revelations of his involvement in graft.
Graft in Migori County
Governor Okoth Obado, in an affidavit filed by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is accussed of having used proxies including his relatives to siphon Ksh 2 billion from the county.
Mr. Jared Kwaga is listed among his relatives who are involved in the graft, of which it is believed individuals were paid millions of shillings to supply ‘air’.
