Governor Ngilu hasn’t revolted against devolution conference

Governor Charity Ngilu and Kitui county has not boycotted the devolution conference in Kirinyaga, as reported by a section of the media.

It had been said that the boycott was due to the Ksh 2 million participation fee expected to be paid by each participating county.

We can confirm that representatives of Kitui County are already in Kirinyaga awaiting the conference commencement today.

“The Governor Charity Ngilu has already joined other governors in Kirinyaga ahead of the opening ceremony on Tuesday 5th March 2019 and any contrary information must be treated as inaccurate and misleading,” said a Kitui County source.

Furthermore, a billboard of Governor Ngilu was setup in Kirinyaga county, a stronger confirmation that she will be part of the devolution conference.
