Gor Mahia trash Tusker FC to move up KPL table
Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia have moved to the second place after a win over Tusker FC
The match that was played at Kenyattta Stadium in Machakos saw 10 man Gor Mahia overpower Tusker.
K’ogalo were reduced to one man less in the 23rd minute when their goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch was sent off the field. The entertaining first half saw the teams registering a barren draw.
In the second half Gor came back stronger as they took the lead in the 57th minute. Samuel Onyango scored the first goal after converting a well curved cross from Nicholas Kipkurui.
The Ruaraka side were unlucky as the game ended in favor of the green army. This is the second win for K’ogalo in a period of one week.
Gor Mahia now shift their focus on CAF Confederation return match against Algerian side Hussein Dey schedule for weekend. Hussein Dey through their Twitter account have threatened K’ogalo with a harsh reception.
Gor Mahia won 2-0 against the Algerian side on a game played at Kasarani stadium on Sunday. However Hussein Dey complained of mistreatment from their host and have promised to revenge.
