Gor Mahia to Pocket Ksh 27 million
Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia will pocket over Ksh 27 million after qualifying for the CAF group stages.
K’ogallo qualified after witnessing a barren draw from the return leg against New Stars of Cameroon in a game played on Sunday in Cameroon. Gor had won the first leg 2-1 in a match played at Kasarani.
The green army will now wait for Africa Football Confideration to deposit the amount in their account which will help the team prepare for the group stages fixtures. This will also be a big boost to the club considering they were struggling financially at the end of last season.
This is the second time that the team is qualifying for CAF group stages in a row. Last year K’ogalo were unlucky as they were eliminated in the group stages what the club is committed to go past this season.
Gor will now wait for a draw to be conducted by the Africa Football governing body to know their opponents in the group stages.
