Gor Mahia humble mighty Zamalek
Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions, Gor Mahia, have shown their muscles in the continental championship by humbling Egyptian giants, Zamalek.
Zamalek has nine continental titles, and are a feared opponents from the feared North African country of Egypt.
The opponents took an early lead through Hassan in the 7th minute. Tuyisenge then pulled Gor Mahia level on 25th minute and took K’Ogalo ahead in the 38th minute.
The Pharaohs were not done yet, through Hassan again they pulled an equalizer in the 44th minute taking the game to half time with a 2-2 courtesy of braces from each side.
In the second half, Tuyisenge turned from goal scorer to provider as he fed Nicholas Kipkirui who gave K’Ogalo 3-2 lead. Then thereafter, Gor head coach Oktay made a substitution by bringing in Dennis ‘The Menace’ Oliech.
It didn’t take long before the veteran striker pounced on athrough ball and boom, he made minced meat out of the Egyptian number 1 to score the 6th goal in the match, and the 4th for Gor Mahia.
The match ended 4-2 in favour of the KPL champions.
