Gor Mahia accused of witchcraft against Bandari FC

Betking Premier League side Gor Mahia has been accused of using witchcraft in their weekend match against Bandari FC played on Sunday at Mbaraki Stadium.

Few minutes before the kickoff time, a commotion was witnessed between the stewards of the two teams. Bandari FC stewards accused their counterpart of placing foreign materials suspected to be witchcraft on the field.

Bandari steward who spoke to a local publication said, Gor Mahia were sprinkling white substance on the pitch while threatening them that the dockers won’t score a single goal in the match.

“They have come with people who are sprinkling some white stuff on the pitch while telling us that we will not score a single goal in the game. This is against the rules of fair play. We tried to stop them but they are forcing their way into the grounds,” said the steward.

The game ended 3-1 in favor of the Green Army. This weekend Gor Mahia will be facing their archrivals AFC Leopards in the Mashemeji derby slated for 7th February at Kasarani Stadium.
