Form three student in police custody after attempting to procure an abortion

A form three student and a 50-year-old woman are in police custody after they were arrested planning an abortion.

Bomet Township Chief Reuben Ngetich who confirmed the incident said that the student had travelled from Nakuru where she schools to terminate the pregnancy.

Mr. Ngetich said that the 18 years old girl had already paid Ksh 2000 and was waiting to clear ksh 500 balance in order to have the services of the woman.

“We ambushed them in one of the home at Motigo village in Bomet and found that the girl has already paid Ksh.2,000 for the service, she was still having a pending Ksh.500 in order for the services to be rendered,” said the Chief.

The victim was taken for examination at Longisa County Referral Hospital then booked at Bomet Police Station as police.
