It was a moment of grief today in Moi’s Bridge town, Uasin Gishu county during the final sendoff of Emma Wanyotta who was badly murdered at their home on 30th September.
The burial ceremony was held at Municipal grounds, with various speakers demanding for justice to be served by having the suspected assailant, Mustafa Idd face the law.
It is alleged that Mustafa was a former lover to Emma and got infuriated when the deceased terminated their relationship.
He sneaked into their compound before brutally murdering Emma, leaving her body mutilated and dismembered.
Emma’s elder brother, Job Manyasi described his sister as someone who had great love for children and called on the courts to ensure justice prevails.
According to the eulogy, the late began her studies in St. Stephen’s ACK primary school in Mois Bridge, before joining Moi Township and completed her primary school education at Bethsaida Academy in 2011.
She then join Friends Lukhokho secondary for her secondary studies and until her death, was a student at Vera Beauty College in Eldoret, pursuing beauty therapy.
In solidarity with their colleague, students from Vera Beauty were conspicuously dressed in pink shirts while friends put on black Tshirts bearing the late’s photo.
The white casket was then transported to their home in the afternoon for burial.
