Deportation or Not: Kimiko de Freytas-Tamura leaves the country

New York Times journalist Kimiko de Freytas-Tamura, has been transferred out of the country. 

Kimiko came to lime light when she wrote a controversial article on 14 Riverside Drive terror attack that left over 21 people dead.

Kenyans bashed the journalist for what they term as unresponsible reporting and also criticized her of being bias in her reporting. Twitter was on fire as Kenyans in solidarity demanded the deportation of Kimiko. 

It seems Kenyans call for her deportation bore fruits indirectly as the Journalist has been transferred out of the region.

According to Citizen Digital who contacted Kimiko failed to a certain the cause of her transfer as the journalist failed to reply to  their inquiry. 

“Citizen Digital can, however, not independently verify whether her reposting was as result of the backlash generated by the piece since she had not responded to our inquiries as at the time of publishing.” Posted Citizen Digital.
