CJ Maraga cracks the whip
The Chief Justice David Maraga has made major reshuffle in the judiciary, which has highly affected high court judges.
In a statement to the public, The Judiciary said that Chief Justice David Maraga had transferred a number of judges. Among affected is Justice Chacha Mwita who was the head of the Constitutional and Human Rights Division at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi, who will now be the presiding judge at Kajiado High Court.

Justice Chacha will now be replaced by Justice Weldon Korir from the Malindi law courts.
Others who also affected includes Justice Reuben Nyakundi was transferred to Malindi High Court from Kajiado High Court, whereas Justice Wilfrida Okwany will now head the Commercial and Tax Division Court.
The move by the CJ has come at a time when the country is focused on the war against graft. The Judiciary has been blamed for its laxity in the fight against corruption.
