Jobless Chuka University alumnus with First Class Honors lands a city job

Ruth Rono, a 27 years old Chuka University alumnus who had a First Class Honors but was still jobless has landed her first job with a leading firm in the city.

Ms Rono first class economics degree holder story that was widely shared in social media finally got to the hands of a well wisher who opted to offer her a job.

Seven Meals Households Holdings was all that Ruth needed to change her fortunes. According to the Managing Director Charles Muriuki Ms Rono will report to work on February and the company will cater for her accommodation.

“Finally we have traced Ruth Runo and she will be joining us as an employee this month, February 2019, we will facilitate her movement from Baringo to Nairobi, rent her a house and give her a chance to advance her life and that of her family,” confirmed Lydia Wathobio speaking for the MD.

Ruth is the he second born in a family of nine children is the only one who finished college with two of her siblings disabled.

Her parents parted ways when his drunk father set their house a blaze. She has been doing manual jobs alongside her mother to raise her siblings. The job is relief for the Chuka alumnus after over 3 years of job searching.
