Former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale’s daughter who was trapped in the Dusit building that was attacked by suspected terror attackers has been evacuated.
The former senator took to social media very early in the morning to update Kenyans on the good news of where abouts of her daughter who was trapped in the building for hours.
Boni Khalwale also thanked the head of security who were leading the operation and other offices involved.
“AND my Zinzi is evacuated! I thank Mr Kanja (GSU Commandant) the rescue operations commander, Mike Lekaleile (OCS Muthangari) and the rest of the security forces for saving the hostages.” Posted Khalwale .
The former senator also condemned the Islamic fundamentalism which he said it has no place in the modern world and must be defeated.
Yesterday the vocal politician through his official Twitter account updated his current situation which may be a trying moment for anyone.
“Am on the scene of the terrorist attack in Chiromo. My daughter is trapped in the building under attack!” He posted.
In a phone interview with Citizen TV yesterday Khalwale also confirmed children to Western politicians were also in the building that includes a child to ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Vihiga Women Representative Beatrice Adagala who were also evacuated.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i addressed the nation yesterday and assured that the security forces had taken control of all the floors of the building and the country is safe.
