Bishop Gakuyo moves to Court to stop DCI from investigating him

Bishop David Gakuyo, has moved to court to Sue Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti.

Gakuyo who is behind the Ekeza Sacco 1 billion scam has filled a case at the Milimani Court seeking an order to stop the DCI from investigating him.

In the suit Mr. Gakuyo claimed that his political opponents are behind the problems at the Ekeza sacco. He said his political opponents are inciting members to hold demonstrations.

Ekeza Sacco members teargassed at the DCI headquarters

“For sometime now, there has been prolonged litigation by the Commissioner of Cooperatives against me, Ekeza Sacco and Gakuyo Real Estate which I believe had a political motive,” said the Ekeza Sacco boss.

“The man of God” noted that Interior CS Fred Matiang’i is interfering with the case by directing the office of the Inspector General to investigate him.

“I believe that CS Matiang’i is unconstitutionally interfering with police independence in investigating and directing them to arrest and prosecute me before magistrates,” he claimed.

Early this week members of Ekeza Sacco hold protests at DCI headquarter asking for actions to be taken against the televangelist.
