Beatrice Elachi leaves to fight again
Tuesday 04th June, the Nairobi County Assembly will resume business after the 1 month recession and the unresolved issue of embattled speaker Beatrice Elachi likely to crop up.
Eight months ago, the then speaker Beatrice Elachi was controversially ousted from her office by the Members of County Assembly (MCAs).
Abdi Guyo, Assembly Majority Leader, responding to the question of Beatrice Elachi stated that nothing had changed so far and the the MCAs had lost confidence in her, hence there was no way back for her.
Beatrice Elachi got a reprieve after the Employment and Labour Relations court quashed the decision by the Assembly to censure her arguing that the House committee had no powers or jurisdiction to impeach her without according her due process.

However, the MCAs have vowed not to allow her back into the assembly.
