Atwoli issues stern warning to anti-BBI team in Kakamega
Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli on Wednesday send a tough warning to the anti-BBI team in Kakamega County a head of the consultative meeting set for Saturday.
The anti-BBI team lead by former Kakamega Senator Dr. Boni Khalwale have organised a parallel meeting at Mumias to discuss sugarcane farmers woes.
The tough talking trade unionist said all leaders planning the Mumias meeting have been mapped and no one will leave their homes for the event.
“We have been following all those people organizing that Mumias meeting. We have their names and I can assure you, none of them will leave their homes. Luhya people will not allow a few people to spoil such a historic meeting. Their wives will be the first ones to arrest them and place them on house arrest. Those without wives will have a rough day,” the Cotu boss stated.
The anti-BBI team that comprise leaders majority of them allied to DP President William Ruto has accused the Bukungu meeting as a venue for Atwoli to endorse Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya as Luhya Kingpin.
“The sole purpose of this event is to attempt to revive the fortunes of ODM in the region because supporters have been disillusioned since Raila sold out. What I can tell Raila, Oparanya and Malala is that they are living in denial,” said Khalwale.
