Anti-drug campaigner arrested with heroin
Joseph Njau, a well known anti-drug abuse campaigner has been arrested with 5kg of heroin worth Ksh 15 million.
It is said that Joseph Njau has been in the police radar for quite sometime and it is on Friday 22nd February that he was nabbed shortly after arriving from Kampala with the drugs.
“The suspect left Nairobi on the night of Wednesday, February 20th. He traveled in a Mash bus to Uganda. He bought the consignment from a Nigerian dealer based in Kampala,” the police disclosed.
According to the police, Mr. Njau portrays himself as an anti-drug abuse campaign, a move he relies on to disguise his illegal business to the public.
“Classically drug dealers camouflage their illegal activities in charity work and other legal businesses. He used to visit schools to carry out campaigns against drug abuse among the young people,” police revealed.

The police say that on Monday 25th February, he will be charged at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport law courts for possession and trafficking of narcotics.
