Al-shabaab suspect arrested during Madaraka day celebrations in Narok

A man suspected to be an alshabaab militia was arrested on Saturday morning at Narok Satadium where Madaraka Day celebrations were held.

According to reports the suspect Aden Galhai was arrested on Friday evening at the same venue before he escaped.

Nation reported that Galhai had earlier posed as a security officer, when KDF officers nabbed him.

Police reports indicates he was found in posesion of his national idea and another card suspected to be fake written National Security.

“He wanted to enter the stadium on Friday and when searched, his National Identity Card and another Identity Card written as National Security were recovered from him.” Read police statement.

The statement said that the suspect was converted to Islam in the year 2014 and has been living in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
