AFC Leopards denied food by city hotel over unpaid bills

Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards players were on Thursday denied food by a city hotel over unpaid bill by club management.

A source close to the den revealed that players were denied food and permission to access essential amenities forcing three foreign players to skip Thursday training.

“Yes, they missed training and it is true there are pending bills in the hotel they are staying in,”

“They were denied food and other essential services, and could not make it to training. However, the club has sorted the issue and the three are now okay and they will be available for our Sunday game against Sofapaka” said the source.

However when Tom Juma AFC Leopards Operations Manager was conducted by said that the affected players attended Thursday training and are fit for Sunday match pitting Sofapaka.

This comes at a time when the I3 times football champions have organised for a fundraising to be held at Crown Plaza on 31st October.
